How many times have you heard, “don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today?” Procrastination can be crippling and it's a sign of many things. Some of us procrastinate out of fear, including fear of the unknown, some out of embarrassment or even laziness, and some feel paralyzed or over-whelmed. Whatever the reason, you can be free from whatever it is that holds you back, but you have to get out of that mindset that tells you, you can't.

When I was a child, I was always the last one to jump in the pool. Why? Because I didn’t like the cold water. But did my procrastination make the water warm? No. Standing at the edge of the pool thinking about how cold the water was (or so I thought) made me anxious. But guess what? Once I finally did jump in, it wasn’t so bad. Not only that, but I wished I hadn’t wasted all that time worrying about how cold the water was. And not long after, my body adjusted to the water temperature and it no longer felt cold.

The moral of the story is, don’t procrastinate. Just jump in. Once you do, you’ll wonder why you waited so long and you’ll wish you had jumped in sooner. If you stay where are today, tomorrow, a month from now, a year or five years from now, you'll be in the same situation (and by the way, that is a true story above about Lisa)

Imagine asking a successful person why they're successful and they answer you with, "because no one ever told me I couldn't." Has someone along the way told you that you can't? Well, we're here to tell you, you can. Now the ball is in your court. Don't rob yourself of time.

During our podcast on December 13, we'll be discussing with our guest, Steve Dessner, from Philadelphia mortgage how to prepare for homeownership. And, you'll have the opportunity to call in, ask questions, and join in on the live conversation!

Remember, we're here to guide you and help you so that when you’re ready to buy a home or investment property, you’ll be ready. Yes! Homeownership is possible, no matter what kind of market we're in.
