What Does It Mean to Be Healthy?
Everyone has their own interpretation of what being healthy means. To me, good health means that my faith is strong and that I'm growing in it, that I’m careful about what I let my eyes see, my ears hear and my mouth speak. It’s what I put in my mouth and on my skin/body. It’s about getting good sleep, getting rays from the sun (vitamin D), and some exercise. It’s about the fruit of the Spirit oozing out of me (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control), practicing what I preach and living life to the fullest in faith. I would love to live like this 24/7 but the truth is, I don't. But that doesn't stop me from picking myself up and getting back up. That's what forgiveness, grace, mercy and perseverance is about.
We can’t control others or everything that goes on around us but we can have self-control. We are in control of our own speech and actions if we learn and practice self control. Self-control requires discipline, practice, perseverance and patience. If self-control isn't practiced and if it isn't learned, our lives become chaotic and we'll always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. No one can take away our faith or the fruit of the Spirit, unless we let them.
When our bodies are are not feeling well or when we're in a constant state of stress, for instance, we tend to not even notice. Like when inflammation takes hold, we blame the symptoms instead of finding out what the reason is for the inflammation. We go to the doctor who prescribes drugs for our symptoms without delving into why we have the symptoms in the first place. The drugs then have side effects which prompts us to go to the doctor again who will then prescribe more drugs and so on and so on and so on. It's a continuous black hole. We become so used to not feeling well and so used to taking drugs that it becomes the norm for us. I know this is true because I lived like this for years and I know many others did and still do.
It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway, that when we’re healthy, we think more clearly, we have better concentration, more endurance and patience. It also means we work better, more efficiently and more effectively. If that's important to you, then you'll want to keep on reading.
Many people understand that diet plays a role in our health. But they lack the knowledge and understanding about the role of our skin.
The skin is the largest organ of the human body and that means that what we put on it matters. The skin has the ability to absorb whatever we put on it. It can't differentiate what's good and what isn't. Once a substance is absorbed it travels to the blood steam. If what it absorbs is toxic, toxins are what will go into the blood stream.
Many skin and body care products on the market contain synthetic chemicals and toxins. This is why I started making my own skin and body care products and now I'm offering these products to anyone who wants to reduce their toxic load.
